After years of providing quality materials and solutions against ballistic threats, AML UK has, in line with its commitment to growth and improvement, undertaken an ongoing Blast Test Programme. The first phase of this Programme took place in June 2008.
A Test Rig was specifically conceived, designed and manufactured by AML UK for the Test Programme, who own the full design rights.
It has been designed with an adjustable bridge so that various heights can be accommodated to represent different vehicle hulls. Almost any stand-off is replicable from 0 - 2 metres.
A variety of materials produced by AML UK were tested against the STANAG 4569: level 2b charge. Six solutions were designed and manufactured based upon their technical material properties to withstand blast and fragmentation.
